Adapted Music Lessons for Individuals with Disabilities or Health Conditions

Adapted Music Lessons

IMG_042.jpgAdapted music lessons are at least 1x/week for 15-45 minutes.  Individual lessons are designed for children through adults who have disabilities or health conditions. Adapted Music lessons are incorporated as part of music therapy sessions because they require prerequisite skills that are addressed during music therapy sessions.

Music therapists are trained to understand a wide variety of disabilities and medical conditions as well as how to adapt methods to best meet the individual's needs so that optimal learning and success can take place. Instructional methods are adapted to the individual's learning style, functioning level, strengths and needs.

Lessons Include:
  • Piano
  • Guitar
  • Voice
  • Hand Percussion
  • Music Theory
  • Composition
  • Improvisation
